Mason Advisory supported the CIO in the development and delivery of a current-state maturity assessment for its hosting provision. This included data centres, platforms and associated organisation, processes and tools to support and keep pace with the 24×7 needs of the company. Working with key staff, Mason Advisory also developed options for future hosting provision incorporating traditional and cloud-based services as well as associated sourcing strategy for moving forward.

Outcome

The agreed hosting strategy incorporated a number of tangible and intangible benefits. The tangible benefits included the potential to avoid identified remediation costs for current data centres, a more cost-effective hosting environment and the use of cloud-based services to reduce costs of supporting variable workload.
