Steve Watmough invited to join the Digital & Technology Commission of the International Olympic Committee (IOC)

The IOC is a not-for-profit independent international organisation made up of volunteers.

We are pleased to announce that Steve Watmough, CEO at Mason Advisory has been invited to join the Digital & Technology Commission of the International Olympic Committee (IOC).

The International Olympic Committee is a non-governmental sports organisation based in Lausanne, Switzerland. Founded by Pierre de Coubertin and Demetrios Vikelas in 1894, it is the authority responsible for organising the modern Summer and Winter Olympic Games.

Steve Watmough quoted “I’m very pleased to be invited to join the Digital & Technology Commission of the International Olympic Committee (IOC). The commission has a responsibility to ensure that the IOC has an appropriate strategy for the effective, secure and sustainable exploitation of digital and information technologies in support of the activities of the IOC. It comprises 18 international representatives from across the technology industry.” The next summer games is planned for Tokyo in 2021 followed by winter Olympics in Beijing in 2022.
